Creo que es el primer eBook que hemos probado en esta web, de hecho, les hemos hecho poco caso. Los lectores de libros electrónicos están librando una dura batalla contra los tablets debido a los precios, las capacidades y las funcionalidades. Pero dejando esto a un lado esta claro que los que solo necesitan un lector portátil, seguirán por tanto usando el ordenador o el móvil para otras tareas, pueden encontrar un gran aliado en los nuevos lectores de libros electrónicos.
El nuevo Papyre 622 (o 6.22) compite frente a frente con el Kindle de amazon ademas del libro electrónico de Fnac, ambos mucho mas económicos (precios de referencia 199, 99 y 129 € respectivamente). Sin embargo, podemos obviar el modelo de la Fnac, tanto por estética como por comodidad, una vez lo comparamos con el modelo de Grammata. Pese a todo, no se trata de ver cual sale indemne de una pelea sino de ver que nos aporta este modelo, así que vamos.
El modelo en cuestión tiene una pantalla de 6″ (seguimos prefiriendo entre 8 y 10″) basada en la llamada tinta electrónica. Esta tecnología supone que mientras no estamos interactuando con el lector éste no gasta batería, por tanto podemos leer hasta 10.000 páginas (Li-Ion 1.530mAh – Integrada) en este pequeño eBook. Pero la tecnología avanza y antes de que nadie se llame a engaño os recordamos que los extras como la antena WiFi (802.11 b/g) si que consume, y mucho, por lo que estos datos son siempre obviando otros usos como la reproducción de audio (si, también lo hace).
La calidad de la pantalla táctil (600×800px) es excelente para la lectura, aunque al pulsarla tiene un pequeño retardo, imaginamos que debido a su procesador (Samsung S3C2416 Arm9 400Mhz). Pese a todo la respuesta al pasar página, pulsar la pantalla o navegar por los menús es correcta, sin llegar a excelente. Además de la biblioteca de libros tenemos disponible un menú de juegos de tablero (Ajedrez, Sudoku, etc), galería de imágenes en 16 tonos de gris 
y navegador web.
El navegador web tiene un aire a internet explorer, aunque reconozco que no hemos podido probarlo, ni teníamos muchas ganas tampoco. La experiencia de navegación en un dispositivo de tinta electrónica no es muy gratificante. Pero si tiene algo que nos parece magnífico, un lector RSS integrado. La ventaja de esto es que si sincronizamos el contenido de nuestros artículos, podremos leerlos como si de un libro mas se tratara, sin los problemas del navegador que mencionábamos antes, incluso podríamos leerlos cuando estuviéramos desconectados.
Después de estas explicaciones alguno estará pensando, ¿merece la pena? Nuestra respuesta es clara, si buscas un buen eBook, desde luego que si. Lo que diferencia a este nuevo Papyre 622 de los modelos antiguos o de los de la competencia es su acabado. Con un peso que se nota ligero (195 g) y unos tonos azules que le dan un toque menos serio que otros equipos pero igualmente elegante, presenta una disposición de botones y controles que hacen que parezca robusto ante los usuarios menos cuidadosos. El deslizador de encendido esta en la parte superior junto al conector de auriculares, el puerto USB 2.0 y el lector de tarjetas microSD (hubiéramos preferido el estándar SD, que espacio tenían). Los laterales aparecen desprovistos de interacción, al igual que la trasera (excepto un botón de reset muy escondido) lo que permite agarrarlo al gusto sin miedo a estar pulsando nada ni variando nuestra lectura en modo alguno. El resto de botones se encuentran en el frontal, con la botonera y la pantalla táctil.
Al final, lo que distingue a este dispositivo es que como en algunos casos especiales, hay que tenerlo en las manos para ver como, por arte de magia, nos invita a la lectura de una manera mas cómoda, elegante y sencilla que sus competidores, os aseguro que en un lineal de eBooks de cualquier centro comercial os saltara a la vista. Si ademas lo ponéis a prueba y lo comparáis brevemente, al uso, os encantara como a nosotros.

Ultimately, what distinguishes this device is that as in some special cases, must be taken in hand to see how, magically, invites us to read in a more comfortable, elegant and simple than its competitors, I assure you that in a linear eBooks from any mall you jump into view. If you try to test the addition and compare it briefly, the use, I love it as we do.
